Chiropractors' Association of Australia Chiropractic: healthy spine, healthier life

National Registration

CAA National has been working behind the scenes in close consultation with the Chiropractic Board of Australia (CBA) since the 1st draft of the Codes and Guidelines for Chiropractors was released to stakeholders.

The CAAN Board has been meeting regularly to discuss issues relating to National Registration as they arise and committed to ensuring ongoing opportunities are in place to continue direct consultation with the CBA.

Since 2006 our CEO and President/s, between them, have attended in excess of 35 meetings and forums relating to national registration and accreditation, health workforce, health and hospitals reform, safety and quality in healthcare and Australian healthcare reform.  The President, CEO, and an academic representative also attended a Senate Committee Inquiry into the national registration scheme and presented a case for the restriction of the practice of spinal manipulation within the new legislation.
