Chiropractic Care Week
National Chiropractic Care Week (NCCW) is an initiative of the
Chiropractors' Association of Australia. Each year, NCCW provides an
opportunity to raise awareness in the community about health and
well-being.
CAA members from across Australia participate in NCCW each year, and
provide their patients and community with educational resources designed
to educate and provide practical advice on healthy lifestyles.
NCCW 2011
Keep the week of May 23 to 29 blocked out in your
calendars!
This National Chiropractic Care Week's theme is "Posture and
Mobility" We are aiming to reinforce as part of our 2011 theme
the need to remain active in order to help maintain good posture and
health.
Chiropractors are spinal health experts, and take this responsibility
very seriously. They work hard to educate their patients and the
general public about the relationship between structure (primarily the
spine, and pelvis) and function (as coordinated by the nervous systems)
and how that relationship affects the preservation and restoration of
heath.
In short, this means that your overall health can be affected by the
health of your spine. The human body was designed for movement, so
to keep your spine at its best, we should stay active. In other
words, a healthier spine means a healthier life!
Just Start Walking Australia therefore is being
introduced to raise awareness about the importance of keeping active,
the benefits this can offer to your overall well-being and spinal
health, as well as providing an easy-to-use program to help encourage
regular physical activity.
Just Start Walking Australia is designed to prompt
people around Australia to, quite simply, just start walking.
