ACC Membership
The ACC has been fostered by the CAA to raise the standards of care
by all chiropractors. In an effort to cater for all chiropractors in our
region, the CAA recognises every chiropractor currently undertaking
Continuing Professional Development - regardless of whether or not they
are a member of the CAA - with an Associate membership, as long as they
are active in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) approved by the
CAA.
The category of Associate Member is the broadest category of ACC
membership, and is an automatic membership for those who enroll with the
CAA's CPD scheme. An Associate Member of the ACC is expected to attain a
specific number of CPD points during the nominated period - currently 24
CPD points during a nominated two year period. The Associate Member is
able to attain such points through participation in activities approved
by the CAA.
The membership structure of the ACC has been approved to encourage
Associate Members to aspire to the additional categories of Membership
or Fellowship. The categories of activity that shall be regonised for
Membership and Fellowship within the ACC are:
1. Professional Activity
2. Research
3. Teaching
4. Clinical Practice
